As one of the most anticipated Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games, Guild Wars 2 will be released in no time. It, developed by famous Areanet, is a sequel to the previous and successful original Guild Wars. Similar to Guild Wars, it will take place in the fantasy universe of Tyria.
The reemergence of the Destiny's edge is one of the most notable advancements. A guild of fighters widely dispersed all over the land intends to battle the iron fisted rule of the Elder dragons in the land of Tyria. All of the races in the Guild Wars will also appear in the new game, the Charr, Norn, Asura, and Humans. A new race will be added into as the Sylvari.
All the players are able to create a battle hardened character and select from eight different classes and five different races. Each profession is further classified by strength of armor, Heavy Armored (soldiers), Medium Armored (Adventurers), and Light Aromored (scholars).
Some of the professions and their strengths:
- Guardians (Profession: Soldier). "Justive, Resolve, and Courage" are Guardians’ main weapons. They have the ability to transfer these weapons to their allies and can make use of enchanted weapons and call upon "wards" to ward off an enemy approach.
- Elementalists (Profession: Scholar). The Elementalist is a master over the elements of fire, earth, air and water and use magic-based weapon.
- Warriors (Profession: Soldier). The Adrenaline mechanic is a speciality of the Warrior class that allows the warrior to multiply his strengths and deal mass amounts of damage. Certain special abilities are made available depending on how high your adrenaline level goes.
The entire game specifications have yet to be released, but we can expect that computers should have no problem with this game.
