As what almost all the MMO players are looking forward most this year is Guild Wars 2, so lots of pressure on the ArenaNet to create the best game they possibly can. In order to fully prepare for this year’s release, the team has started up publish beta weekend to test their servers.
Hundreds of thousands of players took part in testing Guild Wars 2 when the first beta weekend was held back at the end of April. And another beta weekend started on June 8th and 10th, which was a new chance for those who pre-ordered the game to see what is changed since the first beta event. Moreover, the players who participated in the event of April do not need to create a new character. And players who were able to reach level 35 or higher during the first beta can be able to take on and explore the Ascalonian Catacombs.
Many players who did not take part in the first beta event did so in the second beta event. After all, taking part in these events have a direct influence on the direction the game will be heading in as ArenaNet starts to enter the final months of development. Some of the feedback they have received has resulted in changes to chat functionality, key bindings, server stability and general performance and so on.
Unfortunately, only those players who pre-order the game got into the second weekend beta , so still lots of players missed the chance to participate the beta, only look forward to next one.
